    Semi-technical Paper

    I have written a semi-technical paper (appropriate for beginning graduate students in physics) entitled The Eighteen Arbitrary Parameters of the Standard Model in your Everyday Life. This has been published in Reviews of Modern Physics, 68, 951 (1996).

    Semi-Simple Lie Algebras Book available

    I have placed a postscript copy of my book Semi-Simple Lie Algebras and their Representations, published originally by Benjamin-Cummings in 1984, on this site. Since the publisher has returned the rights to the book to me, you are invited to take a copy for yourself. If you'd like a much better copy, look for the Dover version.

    X-ray Imaging

    I have worked with Dave Nygren and his team on the development of an x-ray imaging system, based on silicon strip technology. This work grew out of detector development for the Superconducting Super Collider: it is a real spin-off. I have written a few short notes on related topics.
